Potomac River Parks

Great Falls U.S. National Park, VA

What good fortune for Amberwoods of Great Falls families to live so close to the magnificent Great Falls National Park! The Park website tells all you need to know as you plan a visit that might include hiking, rock climbing, kayaking — but definitely no swimming allowed in the dangerous current and rocky terrain! Canal ruins built by the Patowmack Co founder George Washington and relics of the town of Matildaville serving the company workers reflect on early history of Northern Virginia. Imagine a much-anticipated train trip to the amusement park before flood waters washed it all away! Become a member, show your pass and enjoy every day you’re there!
